Hot Chocolate Run – Sunday, Jan 25th – STREET CLOSURES

Posted by on Jan 23, 2015 in News |

We know some folks received the mailer from the Hot Chocolate run folks, but for those who did not and do not subscribe to the Downtown Navigator, a quick reminder that Sunday, Jan 25th from approximately 7am to noon there will be a number of lane and street closures throughout downtown.

Without going into the full route, the runners will come South on COP (Centennial Olympic Park Dr), turn right on Chapel, right on Mangum and right on Mitchell. Mitchell St is slated to be closed in its entirety from Chapel to Capitol so plan accordingly and use South and West routes, such as Fair and Northside to alleviate headaches. Full information can be found here for the race and route.

If you didn’t get the mailer and want to, we would suggest emailing the race organizers at

Time to Renew Your CHNA Membership!

Posted by on Jan 18, 2015 in News |

chna logoJoin the CHNA today and support our vibrant, diverse neighborhood!    If you did not have a chance to join at the holiday party or if your building is not joining (ask them and also ask them to email for more info on getting your building involved!), you will need to renew for 2015.

There are many benefits that come along with this membership, the least of which is that you are allowed to vote at neighborhood meetings and make a difference in what goes on in Castleberry.  The more members we have, the more dues we have to work with and the stronger our association will be all year long! We are also looking at signage, happy hours and events, greenspace and art initiatives throughout the neighborhood this year and there’s strength in numbers!

Membership is open to all residents (18 years or older) living within the neighborhood boundaries. Visit the Membership page today to support your neighborhood.  Individual membership is $20.00 and you can pay via check or PayPal (buildings pay $18/unit). Businesses currently pay $100 and we will be printing maps before the March Art Stroll so make sure you secure your spot on the map by the CHNA General Meeting February 16th!

If you have any membership questions, contact

CHNA 2015 Open Board Positions & Committees

Posted by on Dec 18, 2014 in News |

There are a few more spaces open on the 2015 CHNA Board and we need your help to a) spread the word or b) step-up and help make the neighborhood great!

SECRETARY – We are on the look-out for a great Secretary who can take minutes at Exec and General Meetings on the 1st and 3rd Monday’s of the month and who can help keep the Google Drive documents organized. (filled…yay!)

PR/COMM – The PR/Communications committee helps make sure we look good and people know what’s going on and we need someone who can do this and work with the Board to ensure we hit deliverables early in the year for promotion of the Art Stroll and other events! Someone with graphic design ability would be great! (pretty close to being filled!)

Email the Board to volunteer for a committee or pop over to Nextdoor and chime in! There are groups on the left there where you can jump in with a little toe or both feet!
