National Night Out is Coming!  Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 7-9pm at No Mas! Cantina!

We will be having a neighborhood night out on the No Mas! Cantina spur just off the patio to celebrate National Night Out and raise awareness for Public Safety throughout the city and neighborhood! There will be a few snacks, but No Mas! Cantina has generously offered to treat this as a fundraiser for the CHNA so it is a “Public Safety Night Out” and 20% of the proceeds from the food/drink you purchase will be donated to the CHNA, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit.

The first National Night Out took place in 1984.  That first year, 2.5 million Americans took part across 400 communities in 23 states.  National Night Out now involves over 37.8 million people and 16,124 communities from all 50 states, U.S. Territories, Canadian provinces and military bases worldwide.

How often do you think about the future of your community? Are there things right now that you want to see get better? What about those attributes about your community that you love?

A new regional survey being conducted by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) poses these questions and more to find out exactly what you think is important to ensure that Metro Atlanta remains globally competitive, raises the best workforce possible and continues to be a great place to live.

This is the first of three surveys that ARC will conduct over the course of updating the Regional Plan, set to be adopted in the Spring of 2016. This first Regional Plan survey is available HERE and is open from the beginning of July through the end of September 2014.

Please contact Melissa Roberts, Atlanta Regional Commission with any questions at mroberts@atlantaregional.com or 404-463-3272.
