Participating Galleries, Restaurants and Fun Places Along the Way

ESCAPE Gallery - at No Mas!

Escape Gallery
180 Walker St. – 404-215-9769 – nomasatlanta.com

No Mas! will host painter Jesse Watts’ exhibit in our Escape Gallery for the September 12, 2014 Art Stroll. Enjoy dinner, dessert, coffees, or Margaritas with us before, during or after the Stroll!
A native to Georgia, at a young age, Jesse Watts always liked drawing, often drawing whatever caught his attention.  He grew up studying music, being classically trained in piano and percussion, but still always kept the hobby of drawing.  During his corporate professional career, he kept art as a hidden hobby that he did on the side, which yielded several commissioned works. Today, Jesse works in various media including canvas, wooden panels, acrylic and water color paints, inks, pencil, etc.  His works tend to be characterized by use of bright colors and lots of texture and buildup.  His vision for his art is to create pieces that are multifaceted drawing from emotions, thoughts, and experiences, but also capable of evoking those of the viewers as well.

 No Mas! Hacienda & Cantina

No Mas! Hacienda & Cantina
180 Walker St. SW – 404-215-9769/404-574-5678 – nomasatlanta.com

For this September’s Art Stroll, No Mas! Hacienda will be featuring Original Sculptures by artist Stephen MacNeil. For more than two decades, MacNeil has been designing for his company, No Mas! Productions. Degreed in Fine Arts, his experience in industrial design made the step into sculpture a natural progression. Four Seasons Hotel, Punta Mita, the premier resort of the Riviera Nayarit on the west coast of Mexico, commissioned Steve for eleven sculptures to permanently reside on the grounds. The sculptures reflect tranquil forms of the local flora, created from Cantera Stone quarried in the center of the country. The installation stands apart as a milestone for MacNeil as it is his first fine art installation located in the country where the pieces were actually produced. On display here in Atlanta are four new sculptures that continue the series.

Be sure to also peruse the No Mas! gallery showroom collection of artistic creations from over 300 artisans in Mexico – and dinner, drinks, coffees, desserts – all under one roof.
