We are excited to let you know that 154 Walker Street in Castleberry Hill neighborhood is being transformed into the “Castleberry Porch” (working title, still working on a name) this summer! This shared space will be for all of the community to use and we want your feedback on what should be there and how we should develop it!

To help us develop ideas and plan for this significant site, we are inviting you to attend a Placemaking Workshop on Thursday, May 7, from 5:00 – 7:30 pm (heavy snacks provided). The meeting will be held at the Tasting Room, Upstairs at No Mas! Cantina. We would like to engage you in a site evaluation and a lively brainstorming session. We hope that you can attend!

Castleberry Hill Neighborhood Association is working in collaboration with Project for Public Spaces, Inc. from New York, who will facilitate the Workshop. The funding for this project is provided by the New Amsterdam Fund. We enthusiastically embrace the concept that a lively and attractive public space can serve as a catalyst for downtown revitalization and redevelopment.Through this workshop, we are seeking input from a variety of neighbors, downtown stakeholders, and local artists, performers and non-profit art organizations to help us develop a concept and program for the new public space.

We hope you can join us and share your ideas and knowledge to help us transform this vacant lot into a center of activity in the Castleberry Hill neighborhood.
