jdrfThe Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) will be held on Saturday, October 15th. This has been an annual event in Centennial Olympic Park for more than 10 years.  The event is a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and we anticipate a crowd of 7,500 to 9,000 walkers.

The event will begin and end at Centennial Olympic Park.  The 5K walk will begin at 9:30am, and is a loop through Castleberry Hill, Downtown and the Fairlie Poplar areas.  The last finishers will complete the route no later than 11:30am.  During the walk, roads along the race routes will remain open to traffic, although the crowd at the beginning of the walk will temporarily stop all traffic on Centennial Olympic Park Drive.

The route travels down Centennial Olympic Park to Walker and loops around on Fair Street to Peters Street.  Expect intermittent traffic controls at the intersections.

The pre and post event activities will take place in Centennial Olympic Park.   The event staff will be responsible for clean-up along the walk route, and Centennial Olympic.  If you have any concerns or need additional information contact Skip Breeser, racingsolutions@bellsouth.net.
