Atlanta`s Police Officers & Fire Fighters Host 2009 Mayoral Candidate Public Safety Forum - Thursday, July 23rd @ 7pm
On Thursday, July 23 at 7pm, the four top candidates to be Atlanta`s next mayor will meet at Georgia State University Student Center Auditorium (44 Courtland St, Courtland & Gilmer,) to debate their visions for public safety in a free to the public (first come, first served) forum sponsored by Atlanta`s Police and Firefighters unions. The Public Safety Forum will be moderated by Fox5`s Morse Diggs and the candidates will answer questions from police officer and fire fighter representatives and debate each other on their responses. They will take questions from the audience.

The residential association at Twelve Centennial Park (TCP) is sponsoring four opportunities to meet the Atlanta mayoral candidates during the upcoming months. They will speak individually in an informal setting, making a short speech and answering your questions on issues and plans for the city. The meeting will take place on the 8th floor of the Twelve Centennial Park Hotel (Civic Center MARTA stop.) Following their presentation, TCP will be hosting everyone at Room in order to mingle with the candidate in a less formal manner.

The "26th Annual National Night Out" (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW). Last year`s NNO campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. In all, over 37 million people participated in National Night Out 2008. Wear your Castleberry Hill t-shirt and bring a flashlight for a walk down the Nelson Street Bridge and Peters Street. There will be wings, snacks, drinks and fun so come join us and tell criminals that we don`t need you in Castleberry Hill!!!
