Best New Gallery: Romo Gallery

With a nose for cutting-edge artists and a willingness to take chances, Sam Romo’s eponymous venue, ROMO GALLERY, has added a fresh new conceptual-art voice to the growing energy of the Castleberry Hill art district. The gallery’s recent shows by outside-Atlanta artists, such as Working Artists in Brooklyn and photographer Yoshio Itagaki’s solo show, indicate a rising national interest in artwork addressing the intersections of technology and biology with media and folklore, which should only deepen and evolve over time.
